AI & Scalable Systems Expert

Ryan Rong is a backend engineer at Kos, specializing in AI-driven infrastructure, scalable backend systems, and data engineering. With a Computer Science and Mathematics background from Stanford University, Ryan is an expert in cloud computing, large-scale data processing, and deep learning integration.

At Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute, Ryan developed an AI-powered Chrome extension that generates context-aware Reddit and Twitter comments using OpenAI APIs. He also built scalable web architectures at Skylow.ai, integrating real-time chat features and Firebase-driven data analysis.

His experience at Stanford School of Medicine’s HealthRex Lab showcases his expertise in machine learning for healthcare, where he built Alzheimer’s prediction models using over 4 million patient records and achieved 85% accuracy across diverse demographic groups. His work at UIUC’s Code Analysis Lab further demonstrates his deep learning expertise in Java code analysis and bug detection.

Ryan has developed real-time AI applications, including an ASL-to-English translator using convolutional neural networks and attention models, hosted in a Dockerized Azure environment. A Microsoft Imagine Cup Americas finalist and Uber Global Hackathon Innovation Award winner, Ryan is at the forefront of AI-driven backend engineering.

At Kos, Ryan is architecting robust backend systems, ensuring seamless AI integration, scalable data pipelines, and high-performance medical applications to power next-generation healthcare technology.
